About Great River City Light Rail
Western Sydney is one of the fastest growing regions in our country, with the population of Greater Parramatta alone set to climb by 50 per cent by 2041 and at Great River City Light Rail we want to create new communities, connect great places and help locals and visitors move around and explore what the region has to offer. The new Light Rail will connect Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia, spanning 12 kilometres and utilising state-of-the-art vehicles that delivers comfortable, user-friendly and high-performance services. By 2026, around 28,000 people will see Parramatta Light Rail every day and an estimated 130,000 people will be living within walking distance of Light Rail stops.
The role
You will be responsible for planning and scheduling planned and corrective maintenance for rollingstock and infrastructure assets of the Light Rail network. This will include working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure asset downtime is minimised and managed efficiently and identifying any gaps for continuous improvement. In addition, you will also be coordinating shutdown activities with the Interface Manager and managing the progress of scheduled work and stage of completion. Working closely with our asset information system you will the go to subject matter expert in maintaining the system.
What you bring
Your background will include experience working in a similar role with an Asset Information System. This will be supported with demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with stakeholders in the business to ensure continuous improvement and effective coordination of our assets. Given the nature of the role you will have strong organisational and communication skills to work in a fast-paced environment.
