About The Role
As our next Asset Senior Specialist, Long Term Planning based in our newly renovated Brisbane head office, you will support Australian operations in the development and submission of long-term maintenance plans. Your central purpose will be to ensure all operations are supported and aligned with the Thiess Asset Planning Process and Maintenance Management System usage. This role will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results for our projects.
Additionally, the role will:
- Drive task delivery for team and business goal achievement, fostering support, and improvements.
Ensure the JDE maintenance system is utilised effectively on all sites to ensure consistency and transparency across the business and records are maintained accurately
Carry out strategy reviews where required to ensure that all Thiess assets are maintained to achieve operational MTBF metrics while not compromising safety or budgets.
Assist in the development of site personnel in planning systems and process
Assist and advise site-based planners as required for developing planning strategies
Identify opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of maintenance work through enhanced planning practices and new technologies
Ensure effective plans are submitted for approval and components are managed in line with business expectations
Identify project-based opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce maintenance costs * Deal adeptly with issues, champions change initiatives, upholds leadership behaviour
About You
You will have a clear understanding of the whole of life asset strategy, and strong stakeholder management skills.
You will also have;
Trade qualification / Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications / experience
Experience in maintenance operations with large mining equipment
Experience in scheduling and planning maintenance activities for large mining equipment
Experience in Maintenance Warehousing and Inventory management processes
Proficient in MS Office suite
Competent in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., JDE)
Knowledge of contract management, including subcontractors
Highly effective communication skills
