About the Opportunity
Join our dynamic team as an Asset Support Coordinator, where you can have the opportunity to develop your skills in a role that shapes the future of our city's infrastructure assets. As part of the Infrastructure Program the Asset Support Coordinator will work with the Infrastructure Planning Team to manage a small asset portfolio and related services and review the efficiency and effectiveness of existing accounting/administrative systems and develop and implement new procedures when required.
You will be responsible for managing a section of an asset portfolio, with support and guidance from the relevant Asset Manager.
Some of the assets you’ll be assisting in looking after for our beautiful city are:
- Public art and monuments
- Street and parkland furniture (bike racks, benches, picnic table, bollards and signs)
- Urban structures (retaining wall, fences, boat landing, pergola, rotunda, shelter, arbour, bus shelters)
About You
We are seeking a candidate who has a genuine interest and a commitment to excellence in asset management. This entry level role provides you with an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and drive positive change in our city's infrastructure. To be successful in this role, you’ll need the following:
- Demonstrated experience in the use of corporate asset systems, financial systems and workflow management.
- High level of competence in interpreting technical information and giving direction based on this.
- Knowledge of general asset management requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to understand standard financial reporting and commercial acumen.
- Ability to prioritise and be flexible when responding to changing priorities and demands.
- Astute focus on continuous improvement and professional development of yourself and the team.
- An unencumbered driver’s license.
