UGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance business is currently looking for an Asset Systems Specialist to join the Asset Management team. This role will be offered on a permanent full-time basis and ideally based at our maintenance facility in Broadmeadow, Newcastle.
Reporting to the Senior Asset Systems Specialist, the role of Asset Systems Specialist is to provide Information Systems subject matter expert (SME) support to all project and maintenance functions.
You will provide cross domain information system support pivotal to maximizing performance and increasing the ongoing effectiveness of Asset Performance Engineers, Asset Applications Engineers, MOC technicians and workshop trade staff.
The role also includes information system development support for new contracts as well continuous improvement activities to support new and existing business requirements and processes. Importantly a key focus of this role is to remove systems and processes that create and promote duplication and fragmentation of operational data sets.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT/IS, or similar or extensive experience in information system development and integration
- Experience in information systems design, development, and implementation, preferably including those related to asset management
- Significant experience in SAP asset management functions preferred
- Experience in identifying and analysing business requirements for information systems, preferably including those related to asset management
- Significant level of technical knowledge and experience
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and an ability to analyse potential solutions using technical experience and judgement
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
