Assistant Account Executive- Full-Time Work from Home

Job Summary:

This position is a Full-Time Working from Home role either in Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle,  NSW areas

As an Assistant Account Executive, you will be:

  • Supporting an Account Manager with an Domestic & SME portfolio.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients, Underwriters and other key stakeholders.
  • Presenting recommendations and options to clients; reaching agreement and receiving instructions on their implementation
  • Contribution to new business quoting.
  • Gathering underwriting information from clients and Obtaining renewal instructions from clients
  • Negotiating terms with underwriters 
  • Preparing renewal documents ensuring finalisation of new policies within time frames and attaching applicable specifications to the proposal to form part of the document
  • Handling all processing duties including renewals, endorsements, new business quotes, Certificates of Currencies, invoicing etc.
  • Effectively plan renewal activity with Senior Account Manager
  • Ensure timely and, wherever possible, favourable outcome of claims for our clients

Ideally candidates will have:

  • At a minimum, be Tier 2 compliant and be willing to work towards Diploma accreditation
  • 2 Years minimum Brokering Experience as an Account broker / Assistant Account Exec. /Account Exec. working on Domestic, Commercial SME or corporate accounts
  • Experience in the use of Steadfast Insight Broking System, Sunrise, Steadfast Client Trading Platform (SCTP) and OfficeTech will be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided, however some experience with processing on insurer & insurance broking systems including insurer portals would be preferred 
  • Have a professional manner
  • Be well organised
  • Able to perform under pressure & understand the importance of client servicing
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
