Form of workWarren Plowright Toyota have an opportunity of an Assistant Accountant to join our team as a key member of our Finance & Administration team. We are eagerly seeking a self-motivated and career oriented person to commence a rewarding Accounting career in the Automotive industry. This position is part time, approximately 15-20 hours per week with the potential to grow to a full time role. Flexible hours/days but must be available Tuesdays.
Previous exposure working within a professional office environment is essential, along with the ability to build rapport with staff and management at all levels. Other key attributes required are:
- Previous studies being either a Bachelor degree majoring in Accounting or TAFE Diploma.
- Strong PC literacy and highly developed skills in the use of the Microsoft Excel
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Commitment to your career and professional development
- Immaculate personal presentation
- Proven reliability without the need for constant supervision
- A commitment to teamwork
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role requires the successful candidate to be hands-on and flexible in developing their skills to perform:
- Basic and complex account reconciliations including preparing and posting journals
- Month and year end processes and reporting
- All payroll duties including fortnightly payroll, payment of commissions, super, payroll tax etc.
- Back up to Senior Accounts Clerk when they are on leave
The Successful Applicant will have Australian working rights and hold a current manual NSW drivers licence.
