The Opportunity
This role is a 12 month contract and is a great opportunity to join a close-knit, supportive and dynamic Finance team who are considered trusted and valued business partners. In this role, you will report to the Finance Manager, working closely with the team to ensure best-practice financial support is provided to the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Allocation of cash receipts from Wholesale & Independent customers
- Preparation of daily bank reconciliations
- Preparation and review of weekly aged debtor balances
- Building relationships with customers to advise of and receive overdue balances
- Review credit application forms and set up new customers
- Review and validate customer claim data from Wholesale & Independent customer
- Investigate erroneous claims to determine their validity and obtain approval from relevant sales leads where required
- Liaise with the Customer Service team to determine the status of disputed invoices
- Opportunity to be involved with system implementation and transition to a new ERP
What are we looking for?
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Accounting
- Ideally CA or CPA qualified (or working towards)
- Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience, ideally in a commercial environment
- Experience with an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics would be ideal)
- Self-motivated & self-directed, with an ability to work autonomously and contribute to the team.
- Adaptable and resilient with a proactive attitude
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Good communication skills and confidence in liaising with others
- Intermediate skill level with MS office suite, particularly Excelrs
- Intermediate skill level with MS office suite, particularly Excel
