T & R International Pty Ltd is a dynamic and reputable Australian company specialising in the supply and distribution of sporting equipment, game tables, furniture, outdoor products, and so much more. We have also established a robust logistics department to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of orders with four expansive warehouses covering over 30,000 square meters in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane.
We are currently seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our continued success. This role is to perform a range of accounting tasks that support senior accountant and wider finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the senior accountant and wider finance team.
- Collaborating with teams to work on various accounting projects.
- Preparing daily and monthly bank reconciliation reports.
- Managing accounts receivable, include collecting accounts receivables, customer refunding and posting customer payments by recording bank transaction etc.
- Managing accounts payable, include processing of supplier invoices received, arranging authorisation of invoices, prepare and process payment for outstanding creditors.
- Assisting with AR and AP treatment process, credit control status and payment plan.
- Assisting with month end closing and completing month end activities and procedures as required.
- Assisting with fixed asset register, cash flow management and forecasting.
- Maintaining account receivable and account payable file, records and documentations.
- Assisting with tax compliance including BAS, Payroll tax, FBT returns, etc.
- Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts, statutory accounts, and audit.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
- Ad hoc accounting duties to support the broader team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- A Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Studying towards CPA/CA.
- Basic knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
- Ability to work within strict deadlines and reporting timetables
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and schedule activities to optimise time and resource utilisation
- Ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of self-discipline, self-motivation, energy and initiative
Salary $75,000 - $85,000 + super
