Due to a recent retirement in the finance team, there is now an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join this amazing business and make a difference to the community on a large scale. You will be reporting to the Financial Controller and be a part of wider finance team of 10 people. This is a 3-month contract role with a strong possibility of going permanent.
The successful candidate responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Supporting senior accountants with ad hoc duties
- Credit card invoicing and reconciliation
- General ledger journals
- General administrative duties
- Month end reports to internal stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to immerse themselves seamlessly into a great work culture. Experience required would include 2 years in a Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role.
Previous experience working within the NFP sector is highly advantageous.
The office is based in the Northwest Hills District, with off-site parking and public transport a short distance from the office. They also offer a 3 days working from home after a training period. As this is a temporary position, this role will move quickly.
