The Donric Group is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The position is full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm and involves assisting the finance team based at Sunbury. It is important that the successful applicant can work in a time sensitive, team environment.

Some of the duties that this opportunity will gain experience in, include but are not limited to:
-Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process and/or review accounts payable for multiple businesses including inter-company transactions.
- Ensure invoices/documents are approved before processing.
- Prepare & review batch payments for accuracy, upload payments to the bank.
- Review general ledger and cost centre coding of invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Follow up outstanding payables/request statements.
- Review and update general ledger coding of invoices.
- Follow up outstanding receivables/debtors.
-Payroll Processing
- Process and/or review payroll accurately and on time for multiple businesses.
- Advise your manager when files are ready for authorisation in the bank for approval.
- Review and lodge STP finalisation to the ATO.
-Bank Reconciliations
- Review and/or perform bank reconciliation against bank-issued statements regularly.
- Follow up for outstanding supporting documents.
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Asset Additions, Disposal & Transfers
- Depreciation
- Asset Finance Accounting
- Asset Funding
- Interest/Principle reconciliation/allocation
- Reporting & Analysis
- Expenditure Accruals & Allocations
- Matching to revenue / timeframe
- Completeness of expenditure
- Logical analysis & report development
- Wages analysis and on-cost recognition
- Correct allocation into business units
- Correct accruals for each period
- Completeness of accruals based on key factors
- Assist with payroll duties
- Other Ad hoc duties
