We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our client’s team in Lismore. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, as well as providing assistance to the Senior Finance Officers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of year-end financial reports and reconciliations.
- Maintain a comprehensive financial register.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of claims and acquittals.
- Prepare cashflow reports.
- Support Senior Finance Officers in preparing ad-hoc financial reports and analysis.
- Assist Senior Finance Officers in managing financial transactions and records.
- Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and reviews.
- Contribute to financial reporting by learning and applying relevant accounting standards.
- Collaborate with the finance team to achieve organisational goals.
- A bachelor’s degree (or working towards) in accounting, business, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of effective high-level customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including Word processing, Excel and maintaining corporate records.
