The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our office based in Millers Point. As Assistant Accountant, you will:
- Conduct supplier/subcontractor setup
- Raise cheque and EFT payments for project payments
- Process of weekly expense claims and rental payments
- Filing of payment documentation
- AMEX/Visa reconciliation
- Prepare tax invoices and collection of receipts
- Reconciliation of intercompany loans, Work in Progress and suspense accounts
- Assist with our finance systems such as Jobpac, PayApps and Accounts Payable OCR / Scanning solution
- Prepare and process assigned bank reconciliations
- Prepare and lodge assigned monthly BAS returns
- Assist with preparation of construction cashflow tracking
- Assist with end-of-month processes
- Assist with preparation and lodgement of FBT returns
Ideally, the successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience
- Current knowledge of accounting
- The ability to be a team player and strong attention to attention
- Accounting Degree, and working towards CA/CPA qualification
- Contracting / Construction ERP experience highly advantageous
