Assistant Accountant - Manufacturing - Western SuburbsThe CompanyOur client is a well-established Australian family business that has been a leader in their space for years. They are a manufacturer located in Sydney's Western suburbs. You will sit in a finance team made up of 5 people, reporting to a supportive and approachable CFO.The RoleAs the Assistant Accountant, your role will be broad and see you involved and exposed to an appealing range of duties. This will include:

• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
• Intercompany charges and reconciliation
• Accruals and prepayments

Our client is big on developing their staff internally, so as you become more confident in your role, you will have the opportunity to take on more.Your BackgroundTo be considered for this position, you will ideally meet the majority of the following criteria:

• Degree qualified with plans to start or be studying a professional qualification (e.g. CA, CPA)
• At least 2 years of accounting experience from a similar product-based industry
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise and partner with multiple stakeholders
• Able to drive to the Penrith area 5 days per week
