Our client is a well-known organisation with offices south of the river. You will be working with a professional finance team and have the full support of a hands-on experienced finance leader.
This is the perfect opportunity for an aspiring Assistant Accountant to join a good team on Maternity cover basis.
The role includes:
- Preparation and forecasting of daily cash flow and assisting in making payments
- Preparation of Ad hoc reports
- Participating in budgeting and forecasting
- Assist in external audit
- Preparation of bank reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts
- Ensure journals are processed in a timely manner
- Preparation of monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Maintain prepayments and accruals schedules
- Preparation of BAS and assisting in the annual FBT Return
- Undertaking analysis on overruns and underruns
- Monitor insurance claims process and attend to insurance queries
- Assist with variance analysis
- Interacting with internal stakeholders on income and expenditure
Requirements for the role:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Working towards CPA
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
