Our programs are offered direct to consumer and through enterprise partners, we work with private health insurers, pharmaceuticals, corporates and governments to provide online services including chronic disease management plans (CDMP) and patient support programs (PSP) to their members or staff.
We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our tightly knit finance team that will provide opportunities to collaborate and learn in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage end to end accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Weekly Cash flow management and reporting.
- Monthly Payroll processing.
- Preparation of Weekly dashboards and associated reports under the guidance of Business Analytics Manager.
- Process member refunds weekly.
- Assist with annual insurance renewals.
- Assist Finance Manager with accounting month-end close, general ledger review and maintenance.
- Monthly, quarterly & annual tax and statutory compliance including PAYG, IAS and BAS returns.
- Liaising with external tax agent and other relevant stakeholders.
- Maintenance of employee records including contracts, agreements, and documentation.
- Support Finance Manager in production of monthly reporting packs and financial analysis.
- Evaluate and improve financial processes and systems.
- Assist Finance Manager with preparation of year end audit.
- And other ad-hoc finance activities as required.
About You:
To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- CA or CPA Qualified or studying towards with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, with a sound, can-do attitude.
- Advanced level of excel, able to carry out various analysis modelling work on new projects (XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, PIVOT Tables).
- Comfortable with direct exposure to support multiple different stakeholders.
- Experience with tax compliance.
- Sound knowledge of local/international accounting and banking practices
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems (in particular XERO)
- Knowledge of CRM (Salesforce preferred)
