The Eltham College Foundation Ltd is looking to appoint a Part-time (3 days) degree qualified accountant to assist our CFO/Finance Manager with the bookkeeping and accounting processes of the Company. The Eltham College Foundation exists to provide financial support to ELTHAM College and does this primarily through the operation of a number of childcare centres located across Melbourne.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, be a CPA or Chartered Accountant, and have excellent computer skills, particularly in Xero, Excel and Word. Skills in Employment Hero and QikKids would be advantageous.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to, assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, monitoring of budgets, general ledger and payroll reconciliations, liaising with internal stakeholders, preparation of BAS and FBT returns. The successful applicant will be expected to learn all roles over time such as payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, in order to support those roles during staff absences.
The successful applicant will demonstrate initiative, professionalism and have excellent communication skills. The position will be located in the excellent working environment offered by ELTHAM College, Research Campus. Working from home is not offered, except in exceptional circumstances. This is a three day per week appointment and the days will be flexible.
