This newly created position is ideal for an Accountant looking to start their professional career in the automotive industry. The role will rapidly grow your knowledge and skills through training and exposure to a wide range of accounting across our group of businesses, internal reporting, external reporting, accounts management, complex transaction processing and plenty more!

Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Assist with monthly/quarterly/annually reconciliations of various accounts.
- Assist with the auditing of general ledger accounts.
- Assist with financial reporting to the manufacturers.
- Assist with developing internal reporting to assist managers improve their departmental business performance.
- Processing of new and used vehicle sales to the general ledger.
- Accounts receivable tasks - recording of sales in the various systems and record against payments, prepare AR reports and reconciliations on a timely basis, and liaise with clients on invoices due for payment.
- Accounts payable tasks - record purchases and payments to suppliers, daily reconciliation of banking transactions, maintain suppliers accounts and liaise with employees on supplier invoice approval.
- Handling account related queries and calls.
- Provide general ad hoc support to the team as required.
To be successful, you will require the following;
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business or Finance.
- Demonstrated understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting and statutory financial reporting and the ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail whilst meeting deadlines.
- A high level of Microsoft Excel and computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn how to operate and apply computer applications.
- Well-developed communication, time management and inter-personal skills.
- A genuine passion for your career, and a desire to develop new skills and take on new responsibilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
