Job Description- Full-time permanent position (37.5 hours per week)
- Location based in Dandenong South
Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, the
Assistant Analytical Services Manager (ASM) will be responsible for coordinating client sample pick ups and bottle order deliveries, preparing bottle orders, dispatching of freight to interstate Eurofins labs and maintain good client relationships through client visits.Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:
- Coordination and scheduling of courier pick ups and deliveries as requested by Eurofins staff or clients directly.
- Liaising with clients as to their requirements for pick up and deliveries.
- Loading and unloading of items (from delivery trucks).
- Having a clear understanding of all sample container preservation techniques, issues related to cross contamination of samples and decontamination of sampling equipment, Chain of Custody (COC) document procedures.
- Labelling of containers and cleaning of eskies.
- Putting together and dispatching of sample container orders.
- Checking stock levels and ordering further stock as required.
- Ensuring appropriate storage of samples while they await on-forwarding to lab.
QualificationsTo be successful in this position, you will have the following:
- Current drivers license.
- Ability to work in a safe manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Good knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to structure thoughts deliberately, logically and directly.
- Strong numeracy and financial skills.
- General preference and comfort in technical environments.
