The role:
Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager and working closely with the Head of Marketing and wider business the Assistant Brand Manager will be responsible for supporting the SBM with the creation and execution of brand strategies and marketing plans within the meals category. The Assistant Brand Manager will assist in driving profitable growth across the prepared meals portfolio and will play a pivotal role in leading NPD projects and supporting the category.
- Develop brand plans with the support of the Senior Brand Manager (SBM).
- Assist in implementing brand plans and end-to-end marketing campaigns for the suite of Meals brands.
- Assist in the development of new package designs, label designs, sales collateral, and other marketing materials.
- Manage day-to-day activities associated with Meals-related brand activation's, from briefing through to development and execution.
- Support the Head of Digital in managing daily communication and interactions with consumers via various online platforms to ensure relevancy and engagement.
- Prepare all meals-related brand presentations, including business plans, R&D, and sales meetings.
- Collaborate with the SBM to develop consumer demand creation programs aimed at delivering brand and gross profit growth targets, maximising ROI.
- Monitor market performance of branded product ranges across the meal’s portfolio using IRi and commercial data sources, including tracking NPD within the initial 3–6 month launch period.
- Track and maintain budgeted financial targets, including advertising and relevant spend, and perform monthly reconciliation of Total Marketing Spend.
- Develop a 3-year Innovation Pipeline with the support of the SBM.
- Drive the New Product Development ideation process, validation, commercialisation, and launch across the Prepared Meals portfolio.
- Manage NPD initiatives through the Stage & Gate Process to ensure they are on target to deliver to aligned timelines.
- Coordinate marketing inputs and event management for various events as needed.
- Hold a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- This is an entry-level role suitable for Marketing Graduates or Marketing Assistants or Marketing Coordinators, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Experience in FMCG, retail, or consumer goods industries is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and a solid commercial acumen and understanding are essential.
- Agility and adaptability are vital to work in a fast-paced environment with different verticals within the business, working directly with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrate alignment with company values.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and driven showing initiative and energy, with a strong ability to meet deadlines and contribute to team goals and KPI’s.
- Proficiency in computer skills, excellent organisation, and time management are necessary.
