Stockland has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Development Manager looking to progress their career in the Logistics sector, based in Melbourne.
About the Role
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will assist the Senior Development Manager with the acquisition, procurement, scoping, management and delivery of logistics projects.
Reporting directly to a Senior Development Manager in our logistics division, this is a unique opportunity to work across the full development lifecycle of complex and challenging logistics projects.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the leadership team to actively manage projects from conception to completion.
- Assisting the team to ensure developments are scoped, designed, and delivered in accordance with the business strategy and agreed vision.
- Assisting the team to control and monitor development budgets, payments, programmes and financial reporting to ensure schedule, revenue and cost objectives are met.
- Engage, manage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including authorities, consultants, contractors and agent groups to achieve project outcomes.
- Use your business acumen to monitor the market and competitor activity to maintain competitiveness and undertake highest and best use analysis.
- Assist in developing project marketing and leasing strategies.
- Assist in preparing tenant presentations, HoA and AFL’s for execution.
- Work alongside the development team in implementing and managing outcomes of Stockland’s Indigenous, safety and ESG strategies.
- Assist the team in preparing documentation to meet internal management reporting objectives.
About You
We are looking for candidates with a passion and strong desire to build their career in logistics development.
Previous development experience would be ideal with broader business experience in project management, leasing or sales, valuations, consultancy or construction with an industrial/logistics or other similar asset classed focus will also be considered:
- Strong reporting and administration experience.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and/or sales skills.
- Strong team focus with an ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels.
- Ability to consolidate, summarise and share information.
- Preferably degree qualified in a related discipline.
- Current drivers’ licence is essential.
