About the Role
Apply your expertise and past skills to grow within a new role as an Assistant Development Manager as part of a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team within Stockland.
Working within an experienced team you will work within the development lifecycle and be mentored and supported through your career growth however previous experience in development would be advantageous.
Based from our Melbourne head office on Collins Street, this is a permanent full-time role, offering flexibility to balance working between the CBD office, project offices and home.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Profit Centre Manager (Development Manager) to ensure the Project is scoped, designed and delivered in accordance with the business strategy, agreed vision and profitability levels
- Support strategic planning and visioning phase of the project to ensure schedule, revenue and cost objectives are met.
- Assist with developing a sales and marketing strategy to establish the whole of life business plan objectives.
- Use your business acumen to monitor the market and competitor activity to maintain competitiveness and develop a product delivery strategy appropriate for the local market.
- Engagement and management of internal and external stakeholders, including authorities.
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of financial models for current and prospective projects.
- Working with the Development Manager to control and monitor development budgets and financial reporting.
- Work alongside the Development Manager with implementation of Residential ESG Strategy.
- Procurement and payment of consultants, contractors and suppliers.
About You
You are a driven and inquisitive person with the ability to ask the right questions to achieve desired outcomes. You will be a critical thinker who is curious, creative and bold. To be successful in the role you will have the following Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in a related discipline with prior relevant experience in planning, construction or the development process including development or project management
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter is a must; this is an autonomous role.
- Have access to a vehicle and comfortable with travel as this role will require time spent on site and meeting with stakeholders in locations across Victoria.
- Demonstrated experience in achieving customer focused outcomes.
- Basic knowledge of procurement processes and contract administration.
- Developed stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Resilience and excellent communication skills.
- Commercial acumen.
- Strong report writing skills.
