The Role
We are currently seeking an Assistant Directorto join our team. This role is for an experienced educator who would like to take the next step in their career; we are offering genuine growth opportunities.
The role will include set days managing the office-based and leadership tasks while the Centre Director supports our team with the Educational Leader aspect of her role.
The Centre Director will work 4 days per week. Therefore the Assistant Director can expect to spend 2-3 days in an office based role and the remainder of the week providing guidance and support in the rooms working within ratio.
While the 2-3 days are ‘non-contact’ / office based please note there will be times when the Assistant Director may need to work in a contact role within ratio.
The successful candidate must be able to work 5 days per week and have flexibility with all shifts within our operating hours (in fairness with the rest of the team) to support the team and have a thorough understanding of the centre's operations. Hours of work are to be discussed during the interview process.
We require a Diploma qualification for this position and 3+ years experience in a Lead Educator or similar role.

Please note that there will be an initial Teams interview for stage one of interviewing, followed by a face-to-face interview at the centre at a mutually convenient time.

- Able to create a safe, fun and welcoming environment
- Able to form genuine relationships with children, parents and team members
- Fantastic communication skills and the ability to work as a team
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Good working knowledge of the EYLF & NQS/NQF
- Previous experience in an early childhood setting
- Able to plan and implement a quality early learning program
- Ability to document children’s individual learning
- Able to critically reflect and strive for continuous improvement
Essential Criteria
- ACECQA approved qualification or equivalent
- Current Blue Card
- ACECQA approved First Aid & CPR qualification or willing to obtain
- Child Protection Certificate or willing to obtain
- Food Handling Certificate or willing to obtain
- Able to bring enthusiasm, flexibility, professionalism, motivation and reliability to the role.
