Beautiful new centre requires an Assistant Director / Educational Leader
Puggles School of Early Learning Tamworth is looking to recruit an experienced, motivated, enthusiastic, and professional Assistant Director/Educational Leader, to join our new 88 place centre.
Puggles School of Early Learning Tamworth provides care for children aged from 0 to 6 years. The centre was once an Infant’s School which has been expertly renovated and extended to include new learning spaces and beautiful landscaped outdoor areas.
Our modern centre is fully equipped with brand new equipment and is highly resourced. Our centre is dynamic, innovative, and committed to providing high quality care for all families and children within the centre.
Your Role
- Full time Assistant Director/Educational Leader
- To support the Director in delivering operational service and quality to our children, team members and families
- To assist the Director to lead the day-to-day operations ensuring that the NQF and WH&S requirements are met
- To actively assist the team by supporting them on the floor
- To communicate positively with all families, children, and team members on a daily basis
- To lead the Educational Curriculum and mentor the team of teachers and educators.
Duties also include:
- To ensure children's wellbeing, learning needs and interests are met through a high quality education and curriculum
- Meet and greet families, children and visitors at the centre
- Assist with rostering, administration and enrolments when required
- Manage incoming/outgoing phone enquiries
- Assist the Director with conducting tours
- Assist the Director with interviews, phone screening, references and finalising new starters
- Compliance documents within the service
- Build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ideally you will:
- Be innovative, creative and motivated to create a centre of choice for families within the local community
- Have excellent team work skills, competent in taking initiative and participating in the functioning of the centre
- Participate in building strong morale amongst the team and a caring environment for the children
- Demonstrate commitment to customer service and an ability to develop warm and respectful relationships with families and children
- Have proven experience in leading and developing a team and building strong team morale
Essential
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education / Early Childhood Teacher
- Current Child Protection, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or be willing to obtain
- As the Assistant Director/Educational Leader have the ability to plan, implement and evaluate early childhood programs as required by the EYLF
- Sound understanding of the National Education and Care Services Law/Regulations / National Quality Framework/Standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current Working with Children Check
