About The Role:

The Assistant Director Enterprise Architecture is accountable for developing and maintaining the Department of Finance’s (Finance) Enterprise Architecture. The role leads a team of solution architects, leads the development of high-level business cases, takes ownership of Finance’s digital strategy and is a key contributor to departmental planning for its digital future.

This is a critical leadership role that works closely with the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), internal and external stakeholders to define Finance's technical vision and develop a roadmap for achieving success in alignment with Finance’s strategic goals and objectives, as well as with industry standards and best practices.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced leader with substantial experience as an enterprise architect or in a similar role. You will have strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF.

The leadership context for this position is Leading Leaders. This means you will be required to motivate and enable others to deliver high quality work. You will balance time between doing the work and coaching, guiding, and developing others by articulating how work is to be done, providing clear direction and feedback. The successful candidate will demonstrate the behaviours and mindsets in this context when undertaking the role.
