In this role, reporting to the Director of Clinical Services and collaborating with the Senior Management team, you will play a pivotal role in the organisation's success by providing clinical leadership, overseeing bed management, and offering operational support to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting growth, business development, and addressing the business needs identified by the Executive team;
- Maintaining a relentless focus on clinical excellence across the organization;
- Supervising care delivery and coordinating the activities of a large acute surgical hospital to achieve optimal patient outcomes within resource constraints and compliance requirements;
- Planning and managing hospital and departmental budgets in consultation with other executive team members;
- Assessing workplace culture and implementing actions to support positive culture maintenance;
- Managing Human Resources to forecast future workforce requirements and develop and implement strategies accordingly.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role or equivalent;
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and guide teams effectively;
- Experience in strategic planning, reporting, and policy development;
- Familiarity with quality and risk management frameworks, as well as clinical governance principles;
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle complex operational challenges in a dynamic environment;
- Keen focus on people and processes;
- You excel at fostering positive working relations with key stakeholders, developing people, and building high-performance teams.
