Reporting to the Director of Finance this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated professional with leadership experience to gain further exposure as an Assistant Director of Finance.
In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Finance in the daily operation of the Finance Department, directly overseeing and assisting Accounts Payable, Receivable, Payroll and Stores. This position is fixed term for 12-months.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Completing End of Month Reports accurately and in a timely manner
- Supervising and assisting the finance team including liaising with IT support
- Working with Department Managers to develop effective measures to enhance their department's profitability
- Developing and monitoring all financial systems for the Hotel with a view to improve and streamline procedures
- Continuous review of internal controls and compliance
- Project Management
Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience in a Hotel environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of SUN, Wage Easy and Opera advantageous
- Excellent Microsoft office skills
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to effectively time manage large volume work load, to meet deadlines and work well under pressure situations
- Ability to work in an ever changing fluid environment
- Authentic customer service, interpersonal & communication skills & be flexible in your approach to resolve issues
- Must have valid working rights in Australia*
