The Role
Our client is seeking an Assistant Director – Project Management Office to oversee and manage all aspects of project management, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. The successful candidate will be a strong leader who thinks strategically and maintains exceptional project management skills.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist the Director of the Technology Delivery Office in setting strategic direction and priorities for project management initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and team members
- Oversee the development and management of the project portfolios
- Monitor project performance against established goals, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews to assess project status, risks, and dependencies, and communicate findings to senior leadership.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in ICT project management or ICT project management office roles
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies
- Ability to foster high performing teams
- Experience working with governments organisations
- Experience developing and implementing complex stakeholder processes
