The Corporate Branch operates as a diverse team, offering strategic and operational support across various functions within the organisation. They uphold the organisation’s governance structure and ensure compliance with procurement activities. Additionally, they handle all security-related aspects, including technology and infrastructure management.
Your new role
Offer advice and guidance on procurement matters to support good practice.Stay current with procurement policies, processes, and legislation, and contribute to the development and review of business processes and documentation.Collaborate to deliver governance and compliance activities.Identify and manage risks to ensure the organisation meets its obligations.Monitor and review governance and compliance policies and procedures, and identify non-compliance risks.Contribute to the development and implementation of contract management plans, resolve issues, monitor performance, and negotiate contract variations.Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, and policies.Lead financial activities related to contracts and vendor management.Provide accurate procurement reporting in a timely manner.What you'll need to succeed Familiar with the requirements and application of a major procurement policy framework.A motivated and solution-oriented individual, capable of fostering a team culture to achieve common goals.Able to lead and develop a team, managing multiple priorities to deliver results.Demonstrates the ability to implement and conduct assurance activities within an organisation.Displays initiative and adaptability in a dynamic and changing environment.What you'll get in return This position is exclusively open to Australian citizens who can obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance. As part of a compact agency, this role provides an opportunity for a varied experience where you can witness changes in key areas affecting all Australians. This position is permanent for those already holding a permanent role in the APS, or it can be a 12-month temporary role with the potential for permanency.
