The Assistant Director – Strategic Engagement Manager will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement engagement programs to support the strategic planning priorities of the Fire Management Unit within PCS and the broader ACT Government.
- Undertake high level engagement with key stakeholders and establish, develop and maintain positive internal and external relationships.
- Develop and implement engagement activities to support key events, programs, public consultation processes, and facilitation
- Undertake evaluation, performance reporting, and continual improvement processes of FMU engagement activities.
- Provide high level strategic advice and support to the Director – Fire Planning and Senior Director – Fire Management Unit.
- Provide high level representation and strategic advice on behalf of PCS and establish, develop, and maintain positive relationships with key external bodies.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Mandatory:
- Possess and maintain a current drivers licence.
Highly Desirable:
- Skills, extensive relevant experience and qualifications in community engagement related fields are highly desirable.
- A current First Aid Certificate.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
