A locally run business committed to providing fast, friendly, safe, and reliable fuel and lubricant deliveries to their valued customers. They are currently seeking a proactive and adaptable individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager - Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Tasks: Handle tasks related to wholesale sales, depot, and transport operations. Assist with the administration of our retail service station sites.
- Customer Relations: Take and manage customer fuel orders, respond to inquiries, and support sales inquiries.
- Depot & Transport Operations: Assist in managing depot and local transport operations, including scheduling bulk fuel deliveries and fuel ordering.
- Oil & Lubricant Coordination: Oversee the supply, storage, and delivery of oil and lubricants to customers.
- Driver Backup: If qualified, assist as a backup driver for local bulk fuel deliveries. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Previous experience in fuel distribution or a related industry is preferred but not essential.
- Physically fit
- HC Truck and Forklift Licence - nice to have
- High level of accuracy in preparing, entering, and managing information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with administrative software systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Collaborative approach to work and willingness to support colleagues as needed.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business requirements.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
