The Role:
Our Sydney office, which is made up of over 180 staff and 16 partners, is looking for a talented Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager to join our high performing Accounting and Tax Division.
Our Accounting and Tax Division has over 80 people and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to experience and progress through various career pathways.
- We are seeking an experienced Corporate TaxAssistant Manager/Manager to manage a portfolio of clients and co-manage the Corporate Tax team within the Accounting & Tax Division.
- Reporting to the Accounting & Tax Partners, your key responsibilities will include:
- Attending to overall client engagement including tax compliance services to a portfolio of the firm’s Corporate Tax clients
- Assisting with tax consulting engagements and delivery of advice to clients
- Reviewing of tax provision calculations for audit clients
- Co-managing the Corporate Tax team, providing direction and training to junior team members, including conducting regular team meetings
- Acting as a mentor/coaching manager, conducting appraisals, goal review and goal setting etc
To be successful you will have:
- The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm
- Relevant degree
- Proven Corporate Tax experience with relevant technical knowledge
- Clear and articulate communication skills
- Demonstrated organisational skills, analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent staff management and development skills
