We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager Front Office with skills and experience to lead the team to ensure guest requirements are always met with delivery of exceptional service in key operational areas. This position will also include exposure and work in Food & Beverage and Front Office departments to develop skills for career enhancement in the Hospitality Industry.
The Sydney Boulevard Hotel located near Sydney CBD with breathtaking views of the picturesque harbor. It boasts 275 contemporary guest rooms, 2 food and beverage outlets and 11 function rooms.
Your primary responsibilities will involve:
- Please note, this role is a senior management role of the organizational and takes on the responsibility of Senior management in their absence. As a senior member of our organization it is expected that you have the responsibility to lead by example, motivate our teams and be the focal guest contact point.
- Dealing with guest related issues and concerns in a professional and diplomatic manner.
- Ensure employees are trained in line with standard operating procedures.
- Coach, mentor, and lead by example to develop and improve team performance.
- Management training in Food & Beverage & Housekeeping Departments and developed essential skills to lead Operation Team Leaders and Operation Agents in these two departments.
- Be creative in developing new ideas, new concepts, new revenue streams and standards that shape the future of The Sydney Boulevard Hotel.
- Responsibility for the health and safety of all patrons, guest and colleagues.
- Check and maintain adequate level of supplies in the department including ordering
- Prepare work schedules to ensure all job are covered in assigned areas.
- Other duties as assigned by operation managers or General Manager.
The successful applicant will have:
- You will have strong previous related Front Office and work experience in Housekeeping / F&B operational experience.
- You must have a strong desire for continuing to further develop your career within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent knowledge and skills using the Microsoft Office/Outlook and a solid knowledge of Opera Cloud property management system, Global Distribution System and HotSOS.
- RSA – Valid Responsible Service Alcohol Card
- You must be meticulously organized and have professional articulate communication and presentation skills, along with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle tight deadlines.

- Minimum of two years of managerial experience in Front Office at a high standard in an international or local chain hotel, with additional experience in Food and Beverage and Housekeeping operations.
