As Assistant Principal you will work closely with the Principal and Industry Operations Manager as a collaborative campus leadership team to ensure we deliver on our promise to enable and empower young people to find their purpose and proudly pursue a pathway in industry.
A contemporary and values-driven leader this key role assists the Principal in the planning, implementation and evaluation of school goals and is pivotal in the development and success of the AITC Industry Education program, raising student achievement and embedding a quality education framework.

- A College-aligned program of industry education delivered in a manner that provides real value and tangible outcomes for our young people, in an environment where young people can thrive and succeed.
- The Campus is effectively and efficiently run in accordance with policies and allocated budgets.
- The College’s vision and direction for teaching and learning is clearly articulated to the Campus Community with conviction and expertise.
- All teaching employees are informed about contemporary evidence-based pedagogies and led in their development in determined priority areas.

Some of the qualifications and experience essential for this position are:
- Comprehensive knowledge of senior secondary and industry education programs and curriculum development.
- Exceptional understanding of and passion for the vocational education sector and pathways to employment for young people.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead people, supporting strong performance and collaboration in a dynamic, values-led culture.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate young people, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of contemporary research, theory, and practice in pedagogy and assessment.
- Ability to analyse, interpret and understand relevant data and information to inform plans for improvement.
- Current knowledge of legislative obligations applicable to Equity and Diversity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety and Health, and how these impact on employment and service delivery.
- QCT full registration and current clean drivers licence.
Desirable criteria include:
- Tertiary business or post graduate qualifications
- Industry exposure or experience
