The position offers exciting opportunities to contribute to the teaching, learning, research and community engagement activities of the Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice program and Nutrition and Dietetics discipline. The program is unique in Australia as it's recognised by Dietitians Australia and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in the United States of America.
Under the leadership of senior academic staff, the successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing development of the Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice program, supervise research activities of Nutrition and Dietetics students and coordinate subjects aligned with their speciality area. To complement the course structure and expertise of other program members, expertise in the food and nutrition industry, private practice and/or sports nutrition is desirable. The position offers opportunities for the incumbent to develop research interests aligned to those within the Nutrition and Dietetics team and broader Faculty.
The position is based at located in the Robina Health precinct, the complex has world class teaching facilities. These include a teaching kitchen, gait lab, simulated hospital ward, activities of daily living lab and work play lab plus the latest technology and interprofessional learning spaces.
About the person
The successful candidate will be registered or Be eligible for registration as an Accredited Practising Dietitian in AustraliA or a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in the United States. The candidate will hold a Doctoral qualification, although may hold a Master qualification with evidence of substantial scholarship and professional practice and emerging research experience. They will have a track record of effective teaching, learning, scholarship or research and academic administration within the higher education sector.
Salary details
The salary for Assistant Professor (A and B) is outlined below.
- Assistant Professor A remuneration commences at $147,679 per annum plus 11% superannuation.
- Assistant Professor B remuneration commences at $124,516 per annum plus 11% superannuation.
