The successful applicant will hold a unique position, contributing to the general teaching team for BVH as well as contributing to the overall development of the Year 3 curriculum. Team members would be expected to participate in regular academic responsibilities such as assessment preparation, delivery and marking and committee membership.
About the person
The successful candidate will have a current registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner in Australia. A PhD qualification in a relevant field is normally required, however exceptions to degree requirements will be made for individuals with extraordinary professional competence and industry or clinical skills and experience.
They will have a track record of effective teaching and academic administration of clinical skills within a medical education context and developing experience in relevant research/scholarship. They will have high order communication skills and the ability to work in teams with academics from multiple disciplines.
Salary details
The salary for this 0.5 FTE position commences at $62,258.19 per annum (Full-time Equivalent is $124,516.38) plus 11% superannuation per annum. The Assistant Professor B equates to Australian Public University position of Lecturer (Level B).
This position may be eligible for clinical loading.
