- Ideally suited to this position are existing Contract Administrators in the Tier 2 space, who feel their path to Project Management is blocked (Please note: This is NOT A JUNIOR role)
- Additionally well suited to Contract Administrators or senior level Contact Administrators in the Tier 3 or 4 space who have completed multiple building projects, from start to completion and are ready to step into Project Management.
- Of course, if you are currently a Project Manager in a tier 4 builder, frustrated by the range and value of projects you're able to deliver in you current role - this should be of interest.
One of the most highly regarded commercial builders in Melbourne, highly profitable, a strong supportive culture and an emphasis on training and developing all employees, now requires a Assistant Project Manager work in with existing project teams, who deliver projects valued from $1m - $50M.Typically they deliver the following types of projects:
- Schools
- Health builds
- Residential
- Sports/Leisure
- State/Federal builds
- Community buildings
The Role
Working closely with the Construction Manager and Project Managers, you will initially be assisting in early stage engagement with clients whilst also working alongside the Project Managers on one or multiple existing builds, learning your trade and developing your skills. Ultimately you will play a key part in ensuring projects are built in time, and to budget; but as an overview you will be.
The role is a Hybrid Project Management / Contract Administration role, with a view to step up into a Project Management role, once you've settled into the role and business.
You
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who meets the below criteria - and is a stepping stone into Project Management. You will need to meet the below to be considered:
- Experience within a head contractor.
- Have delivered projects in excess of $5M as a Contract Administrator
- Have around 5 years CA experience, or a minimum of two projects under your belt, from start to finish
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills, during the recruitment process
