About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
About the role
The Assistant Project Officer Grants undertakes a range of administrative, project management, research, analysis and reporting activities to support the development and delivery of funding programs.
As the successful Assistant Project Officer, you will:
- Carry out grant administration tasks using appropriate systems and processes, to meet funding and/or grant governance, project management and delivery outcomes.
- Establish relationships with Grantees and manage and track communications and risks
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates
- Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating meetings and preparing briefing notes and papers, to support program management and delivery.
- Provide financial, systems, project, and operational support
- Monitor and assess applications, contract or agreements, projects, milestones, deliverables and financial data, to ensure compliance with program requirements.

About you
High calibre candidates will have relevant knowledge and experience with grants management and/or financial administration. You will have a proven track record with ongoing administrative management, including grant program management or contract management. Specifically, providing exceptional customer service to clients and an understanding of grant programs.
You will have a strong eye for detail, with a range of data, including numeric. Demonstrated experience working in a flexible and agile environment with changing demands is highly desirable, as is your experience working with diverse stakeholder groups.
