The Role
We are looking for hands on Assistant Manager to join our prestigious , 3 Hatted Hardy's Verandah Restaurant known for its exquisite culinary creations and exceptional dining experience. We pride ourselves on delivering unparalleled service and creating unforgettable moments for our guests. The restaurant is open 3 days for High Tea and 7 days per week for dinner, servicing a set seasonal degustation dining experience for both our in-house guests and visitors to the Estate.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, while ensuring excellent food and beverage experiences for all of our guests and upholding our old fashioned hospitality service.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Restaurant Manager in managing all aspects of the restaurant, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service.
- Creating processes and training team members to deliver experiences that exceed our guests expectations
- Creating and embodying a service culture that will be the envy of the hospitality industry
- Coach, guide and assist in managing the food & beverage operation of the restaurant
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the restaurant's offerings, including food and beverage selections, and provide recommendations to guests as needed.
- Ensure that the restaurant meets health and safety regulations and maintains a clean and hygienic environment.
- Monitor & control beverages
- Providing incredible, extraordinary guest experiences
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Excellent customer service skills with a customer centric attitude
- Previous experience in a similar role in a fine dining or Hatted restaurant
- Experience in a similar hotel restaurant environment
- Demonstrated ability and experience is leading and managing small teams
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- WSET Level 3 desired but not a requirement
