AddressMudgee Golf Club is a prestigious golf club located in the heart of the Mudgee region, known for its stunning views, and positive golf course. We are currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Assistant Superintendent to join our dedicated team.
The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for assisting the Course Superintendent in maintaining and improving the playing conditions and aesthetics of our golf course. This includes overseeing the implementation of agronomic practices, coordinating course maintenance staff, and ensuring that all course maintenance procedures are followed.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for golf maintenance. They should have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
The ideal candidate should possess a Certificate/Diploma is Sports Turf Management or related field, along with previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent or in a similar role. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in all aspects of golf course maintenance, including irrigation, fertilization, pesticide application, turf culture, and drainage systems, along with strong commitments to Work, Health & Safety practices.
Skills and KnowledgeThe successful applicant should demonstrate knowledge in:
- Management of staff, stock, and budget,
- Record keeping and work scheduling,
- Chemical handling, mixing and application,
- Irrigation repairs, maintenance, and scheduling.
