Job description
The core capability requirements for this role are:
* Provide leadership and direction to a team responsible for the provision of accurate and timely advice to clients.
* Assist in the supervision and co-ordination of staff operations including training and development and performance management.
* Coordinate the processing of applications and correspondence in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
* Recommend as required, and coordinate the approved issue of withdrawal, suspension, revocation, replacement and surrender of licences, permits or authorities as required by legislation, standards and guidelines.
* Prepare correspondence for the Authorised Officer and/or senior management of Weapons Licensing
* Maintain current office systems, policies and procedures, within an environment of continuous improvement, to ensure Unit and Service performance targets are met.
* Resolve incomplete applications, and application discrepancies, by liaising and providing advice to applicants, stakeholders, Unit and Service staff.

* The occupant of this position will assist in the supervision of a number of Client Service Officers.
