Assistant Venue Manager 3Ic

Purpose

Simply put the job of an Assistant Venue Manager 3IC is to supervise the shift. The most important aspect of the role is to 'assist' & ‘supervise’ and support the Venue Manager. You will be supervising staff, people and personalities. All the while coaching staff to improve to the level required of a Varsity employee. 

Responsibilities

MVP Sidekick:

• Assist the Venue Manager in running a smooth burger operation, stepping up to lead when needed.
• Train and guide the team to deliver winning performances.

Roster Gameplan:

• Strategically create and manage rosters, ensuring optimal coverage and a cohesive team.
• Execute shifts with precision, keeping the energy levels high and customer service on point.

Scoreboard Management:

• Keep an eye on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales targets and cost control, leading the team to victory.
• Make data-driven decisions to optimize operations and achieve burger greatness.

Team Huddle Coordinator:

• Organize team meetings and events that boost morale and foster teamwork, creating a winning culture.
• Inject some sports-themed fun and motivation into each gathering.

Financial Playmaker:

• Oversee financial tasks, including cash handling, reporting, and collaborating with the head office.
• Ensure our financial game plan is executed flawlessly, scoring big on accuracy and compliance.

Safety Captain:

• Champion safety protocols, including COVID-19 regulations, to maintain a secure and healthy environment for all employees.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Have basic financial acumen and an understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environment. Your ability to navigate through the chaos while keeping a level head is crucial.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Embody a positive and light-hearted demeanour, spreading laughter and joy throughout the venue.
• Knowledge of different types of beverages, cocktails, and their ingredients is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
