AddressWe're looking for an experienced Bar Manager to help lead our fantastic team and shape the experience at Newtown’s newest Wine Bar.
The venue
Flight Path Wine Bar is soon to open in the heart of Newtown, located in the vibrant entertainment precinct of Enmore Road.
In addition to a regularly changing wine menu, we offer curated wine flights that celebrate artisan winemakers in a relaxed and intimate setting. Our featured winery will change every few weeks - it’s about bringing some of the magic of the cellar door experience to the city.
About you
You’re energetic and highly motivated to play a pivotal role in this exciting new venue. You are passionate about great service and run a tight ship, but you also know how to create a warm, inclusive and friendly atmosphere.
You’re also a great communicator and love working with people, delivering excellent customer service and working collaboratively with a team. You enjoy training staff to build up their hospitality knowledge and service skills.
The role includes:
- Supporting the Head Sommelier and Manager to deliver professional service and a great atmosphere
- Leading the delivery of wine and food service
- Assisting with inventory management, stock control and POS system
- Assisting with managing, mentoring and training staff
- Ensuring the smooth running of the daily operations of the venue
You will have:
- A proven track record as a bar or restaurant manager with experience in a similar role
- Great leadership and people management skills, with experience in staff training and development
- A passion for wine and a desire to increase wine knowledge and expertise
- WSET Level 2+ or equivalent (desirable)
- Valid NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
- Valid NSW Food Handling Certificate (desirable)
