Are you ready to dive into an exciting project that's reshaping the digital landscape within a key QLD government department? You will be joining a dynamic team as a Assistant/Junior Project Manager, working hand-in-hand with the current Project Director.
The Project:
This department is embarking ona major SharePoint to cloud project.
Their approach is a blend of Waterfall-Prince2 methodology with elements of Agile, ensuring flexibility and adaptability throughout the project lifecycle. This department leverages cutting-edge tools like Azure DevOps and Jira.
Your Role:
As a Assistant/Junior Project Manager, you'll be the Project Director's right-hand person, soaking up knowledge and experience as you go. While some project management experience is desirable, what they're really looking for is your hunger to learn and grow. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside technical specialists, content editors, PMOs, organisational change teams, and business analysts.
About you:
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Visio and MS Project
- A willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks and responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills to engage with senior stakeholders and attend board meetings
- Experience with Jira and Azure is a bonus, but not essential
- Gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment
- Work on a high-impact project with a clear road map for growth
- Collaborate with a diverse team of experts and innovators
