Planet Music is a musical instrument store located in the beautiful Northern Rivers region of NSW. We stock a huge range of new and used guitars, amps, drums, keyboards, brass and woodwind, orchestral strings, print music and accessories. Qualifications & experience
- Prior experience in retail management or at a senior salesperson level.
- The ability to play a musical instrument - at least intermediate level on guitar and some keyboard skills will be highly regarded.
- Computer literate with experience and understanding of inventory management systems, spreadsheets and communicating via email.
- Availability to work some Saturdays till 1pm.
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving and conflict resolution with customers, preferably in a retail environment.
- Experience with guitar repairs will be highly regarded but not essential.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Sales of all Musical Instruments and associated equipment.
- Greeting customers in store, providing them with a high standard of customer service.
- Maintaining the showroom floor, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, ensuring displays are constantly restocked and presentable.
- Communicate with suppliers and maintain excellent relationships with supplier's sales representatives.
- Training, supervising and appraising staff.
- Managing inventory - enter supplier invoices, receive stock and ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained.
- Closely monitor store sales to achieve weekly, monthly, and yearly targets - acknowledge outstanding results and identify any areas of missed opportunity.
- Lead by example, modelling the culture, values and expectations of Planet Music to all staff.
