QTC is the central financing authority for the Queensland Government and provides financial resources and services for the State. We manage the State’s funding program in the global capital markets to deliver sustainable and cost-effective borrowings for the Queensland Government, local governments, and other related entities (our clients). 

With a statutory role to advance the financial interests and development of the State, we help to deliver innovative, long-term solutions that contribute to the growth of Queensland’s economy. We protect Queensland’s financial interests and deliver better financial outcomes by centralising the management of our clients’ borrowings, cash investments, and foreign exchange.

Purpose of Role

To advance QTC’s Investor Relations strategy and plan through the effective management and analysis of QTC’s investor data to identify trends and insights. The analysis, reports and charts generated through this work will inform strategic decision making and support internal reporting at both committee and board level. The role will actively contribute to QTC’s investor facing activities through the preparation of meeting briefing notes, investor materials and publications. The position involves building and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders and bank partners.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Maintain and manage QTC’s Investor Relations database, including inputting, reviewing, and analysing data.
  • Coordinate a potential transition to a new CRM platform.
  • Assist in the development and updating of QTC’s long-term data analytical models to identify investor trends.
  • Conduct industry research and produce periodic internal reports.
  • Assist the Investor Communication & Engagement team with preparation of externally released materials including regular investor announcements and updates, and reports such as QTC’s Green Bond Annual Report.
  • Assist with coordination and execution of Investor Relations events including domestic and offshore roadshows, conferences, and bespoke investor meetings. This includes preparing relevant briefing materials and presentations as needed.
  • Assist with the management of the Investor Relations contributions to the QTC website and other media platforms, with focus on providing and updating funding and investor data and charts.
  • Assist QTC’s Sustainability team to enhance QTC’s ESG reporting profile.
  • Contribute to Investor Relations monthly management reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with bank counterparties to capture market statistics.

The role will:

  • Monitor and analyse capital markets and related investor trends, using data and research to drive growth and expansion of the investor base.
  • Use systems, such as CRM and Bloomberg to capture data to inform decision making in alignment with QTC’s Investor Relations strategy.
  • Work closely with QTC’s Investor Communication & Engagement team to plan and prepare for critical investor facing activities including roadshows, panels and industry events.

  • Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong written English and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work collaboratively across the business.
  • Data modelling and dashboard design skills. 
  • Problem definition and solving skills, including the ability to understand and break down problems, and assess the root cause and the right solution.
  • Benchmarking, research, reporting and advocacy to a level suitable for presentation to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Finance, Economics, or similar
  • 3+ years’ experience in the industry

Desirable

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
