About the Role
Your key accountabilities:
- Facilitate the smooth operation of a Day Surgery Unit incorporating 2 Endoscopy rooms, a processing room and PACU
- Support all members of the nursing team, acting as a role model and resource person within the clinical area
- Provide leadership and direction to complement the strategic direction, operational processes, budget and business direction of the unit and hospital.
Warringal Private Operating department currently boasts 11 State of the art Operating room suites, undertaking surgical specialties of Orthopaedics and Spinal, General and Colorectal (including endoscopy), Cardiothoracics, Plastics and reconstructive breast surgery, ENT and Maxillo-facial, Urology and Gynaecology incorporating Robotic surgeries. We are currently undergoing redevelopment to extend to 14 Operating theatres.
Your Skills and Experience
- Registered Nurse with current full AHPRA registration
- Minimum of 5 years recent Endoscopy experience
- Post graduate qualification in the appropriate specialty – (desirable)
Remuneration
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $ 53.22 - $ 54.98 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (VIC AssociateNurse Unit Manager gr1-gr3) [FTE $105,164.80 - $ 108,636.84]
