About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Producer to support projects across outdoor events and touring to provide an excellent audience experience.
This is a fixed term parental leave contract commencing April 2024 – June 2025.
Key Areas of focus
Project Management
Manage the implementation of delegated productions with highest efficiency, minimising risks, maintaining budget and compliance.
Manage delegated projects together with project and organisational staff, including artistic, production, marketing and communications, government relations, financial and sponsorship to ensure the successful delivery.
Manage auditions as required for delegated projects.
Coordinate regulatory body requirements to ensure productions comply with City and State laws, ordinances and legislation.
Manage Event Management Plans for delegated productions.
Support the development of future productions.
Support external stakeholder management including writing of funding/investment proposal applications and the required acquittals.
Inform and support potential sponsorship, partnership and fund-raising opportunities.
Administration
Manage the use and implementation of administrative systems, processes and databases, including briefing seasonal and casual staff to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the unit.
Manage travel and visa requirements for delegated projects.
Support the management and negotiation of contracts required for the delivery of productions including, but not limited to artists, suppliers, presenters, venue, funding and co-production arrangement and rights agreements.
Team Management
Role model the required behaviours and standards identified in OA PEOPLE policy.
Act promptly, consistently and with due process to address workplace grievances or performance matters are managed in accordance with OA PEOPLE policy.
Communicate direction and a clear vision of success.
Inspire and motivate the team.
Focus on the continual improvement of each member of the team and the team as a whole.
About you
We are seeking candidates who have advanced interpersonal and relationship management skills, as well as high level verbal & written communication skills. As well as this you will have demonstrated high level problem solving and display self motivation and initiative.
It is preferred you have qualifications in arts, event management, or other related field, along with a driver’s licence.
In addition to this you will have:
3+ years’ proven experience in the area(s) of project/event management
Demonstrated budget and contract management experience
Leadership and management skills with proven experience supervising staff and ability to motivate teams to ensure high performance and strong team culture
An empathy and passion for the artistic process and an intuitive understanding of the needs of creatives
Good computer literacy and database experience
Highly developed scheduling skills particularly in working with Enterprise Agreements
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
Exceptional budgeting skills
Strong contract management skills
It is preferable you will have:
Knowledge of ticketing databases, in particular Tessitura
Knowledge of scheduling databases
Appointment to this position is subject to the position holder having residency status and/or possessing a visa with work rights.
