About the Role
The ABC Children's team brings together the Children's Video and Audio content across television, radio and digital products and services, such as iview, ABC Kids listen and associated websites, apps and podcasts. Children's develops and produces drama, comedy, factual entertainment, animation, documentary content for Preschool and Primary school age audiences telling Australian stories across ABC Kids, ABC ME and contributing to national ABC wide conversations on ABC TV, ABC Radio, ABC online and audio and video apps, to inform, educate and entertain all Australians.
ABC Children's is looking for an Associate Producer to provide operational and organisational support to Play School and contribute to the production of social and digital content including assisting in the preparation of call sheets, preparing rundowns, scripts, logging information, timing segments and scripts and completing ready for delivery paperwork.
Working with the relevant producers, you will plan, schedule and coordinate all elements of the production. You will contribute to the production of engaging original content for ABC digital and social platforms guided by social media trends to amplify Play School's presence on these platforms.
You will also assist in the direction of programmes and briefing talent either in the studio or on location.
About You
You will have experience in television production techniques, processes, resources and terminology, as well as operation of production-based systems.
You will also have well-developed planning, organisational, and communication skills with the proven ability to cope under pressure and work to deadlines, managing priorities under pressure achieving timely and accurate completion working within the production team.
