Provide leadership and contribute to the teaching and research programs for Civil and Structural Engineering at CDU
About the Position
As an Associate Professor – Engineering, you will lead and contribute to the teaching and research programs in Civil and Structural Engineering across the Faculty of Science and Technology. Developing and delivering a mix of semester-length units as well as short courses aimed at the undergraduate and postgraduate markets, utilising both on-campus and flexible-modes of teaching and learning support. You will also assist with the development and dissemination of high-quality research outputs relevant to your area and provide supervision for HDR/ Honours student projects.
About You
To be successful you will require:
• PhD in civil engineering or related engineering discipline
• Demonstrated understanding of a university learning environment and equity programs and providing supportive education to people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and varying age groups
• Demonstrated ability to develop units/courses and student resources in response to reflective practice and application of scholarship (including for online and face-to-face teaching) and within the context and requirements of a quality education provider
• An established research profile in a relevant discipline, including evidence of research activity and outcomes, such as publications, external grants or consultancies in the field at national and international levels.
• Excellent professional teamwork and communication skills, including oral, written, information communication technology (ICT) and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to represent the university at a range of forums, and to liaise, communicate, negotiate and collaborate with clients, stakeholders and partners, to deliver a valued service and achieve agreed outcomes.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Research Active Academic Level D and the base salary will be in the range of $151,048 to $165,239 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $176,726 to $193,329 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
