We are seeking a Associate/Principal Ecologist with 7-8 years of experience to join a dedicated, passionate and entrepreneurial team in Brisbane, Toowoomba or Gold Coast. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and development of our Ecology Discipline in Queensland. This unique position offers opportunities for technical leadership or a secondary leadership role, collaborating with the Ecology Lead to expand the team's presence across the region.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, and execute ecological investigations, including baseline surveys, monitoring programs, regional ecosystem classification, and fauna assessments.
- Conduct data analysis, mapping, and impact assessments.
- Prepare and review technical reports such as investigation reports, ecological management plans, and impact assessments.
- Manage ecology projects and foster client relationships.
- Scope, prepare, and lead proposals.
- Support the well-being, development, and resourcing of team members.
- Participate actively in business development initiatives.
- 7-8 years of relevant ecological experience in Queensland, preferably in industry, consulting, or government.
- Experience leading ecological fieldwork and monitoring programs.
- Class C open license required; experience with 4WD desirable.
- Ability to travel and work remotely as needed for work.
- Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data management systems preferred.
- Option to be based in Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Toowoomba office.
